Beeswax is the building block of a beehive. It is a wax produced by honey bees of the genus Apis. Beeswax consists of different compounds, mainly a variety of long-chain alkanes, acids, esters, polyesters, and hydroxy esters that make up the beeswax. It is the only naturally occurring wax versus other waxes like paraffin wax and soy wax that are made through chemical processes.
Beeswax candles add negative ions to indoor air, combating indoor air pollution and increasing mood lifting negative ions. It will cleanse the air of impurities.
A golden glow, long burning time and its own sweet honey scent are what inspired me to begin to make handmade beeswax candles. They burn clean and bright while releasing a faint honey scent.
